CVE-2023-52532

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue concerns the Linux kernel's handling of TX CQE errors. For unknown TX CQE error types, possibly from newer hardware, the kernel now properly frees the SKB and updates the queue tail to prevent incorrect accounting. Additionally, TX errors can be triggered by injecting corrupted packets, and the kernel has been modified to replace WARN ONCE with ratelimited error logging.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
