Description
The issue is related to a critical vulnerability in the
setWrlBasicInfo function of the httpd component. This vulnerability allows for a stack-based buffer overflow due to the manipulation of the ssidIndex argument. It can be exploited remotely, potentially allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code. The exploit has been publicly disclosed.Recommendations
For Tenda W9 version 1.0.0.7(4456), as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
setWrlBasicInfo function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the httpd component to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the ssidIndex argument in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.
