CVE-2023-52588

CVSS v3.1

7.1

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the Linux kernel, specifically with the f2fs file system. It needs to add a missing gcing flag on page during block migration to guarantee migrated data is persisted during checkpoint. Otherwise, out-of-order persistency between data and node may cause data corruption after SPOR. A similar issue was fixed by a commit that addressed the tagging of the gcing flag on page during file defragmentation.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
