Description The issue is related to a dead-lock in the hwrng device read path. This occurs when a user reads from /dev/hwrng into memory that is also mmap-ed from /dev/hwrng, triggering a page fault that leads to a recursive read and subsequent dead-lock. The fix involves using a stack buffer when calling copy to user.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
