CVE-2023-52775

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A data corruption issue was found in the Linux kernel during testing of SMC-R on Redis applications. The issue is caused by a decline message being sent in the implementation and read from TCP by the already-fallback connection. This results in a protocol error, with the benchmark having a low probability of reporting a strange error. The error data retrieved indicates that the applications received an SMC protocol message. The issue requires an immediate solution, as protocol updates involve a more long-term solution.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
