CVE-2023-5911

CVSS v3.1

4.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The WP Custom Cursors | WordPress Cursor Plugin versions through 3.2
Description The issue allows high privilege users, such as admin, to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, even when the unfiltered html capability is disallowed, for example in multisite setups. This is due to the plugin not sanitizing and escaping some of its settings.
Recommendations For versions through 3.2, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the plugin until a patch is available. Restrict access to the plugin's settings to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the plugin in multisite setups where the unfiltered html capability is disallowed until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
