Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Master Slider – Responsive Touch Slider plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.9.3
Description
The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
process bulk action function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to duplicate or delete arbitrary sliders via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 3.9.3, update to a version that includes the fix for the missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
process bulk action function.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the process bulk action function until a patch is available.Fix
