Description The issue is related to a Denial-of-Service (DoS) caused by a Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the sfpmonitor.sys driver. This vulnerability allows an attacker to craft a specific query to overwrite kernel memory, potentially leading to code execution.
Recommendations For SonicWall Capture Client version 3.7.10, update to a version that does not include the vulnerable sfpmonitor.sys driver. For NetExtender client versions 10.2.337 and earlier, update to a version that does not include the vulnerable sfpmonitor.sys driver. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the sfpmonitor.sys driver until a patch is available.
