| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
ElementsKit Elementor addons plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.0.3
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the progress bar element attributes due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with editor-level access to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute when a user accesses an injected page. The issue primarily affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered html has been disabled.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 3.0.3, update to a version later than 3.0.3 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the progress bar element attributes to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, restricting editor-level access and enabling unfiltered html can help mitigate the risk.
Fix
