Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Ibtana – WordPress Website Builder plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.2.2
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'ive' shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on
width and height user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.2.2, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue in the 'ive' shortcode.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the 'ive' shortcode for users with contributor level and above permissions until a patch is available.
Fix
