Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Biges Safe Life Technologies Electronics Inc. VGuard versions prior to V500.0003.R008.4011.C0012.B351.C
Description
The issue is related to a Path Traversal vulnerability, specifically an Absolute Path Traversal, which can be exploited using the '/../filedir' path. This allows unauthorized access to files on the system.
Recommendations
For versions prior to V500.0003.R008.4011.C0012.B351.C, consider restricting access to sensitive files and directories to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the
../filedir path in the affected system until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability. Found an issue in the description? Have something to add? Feel free to write us 👾
