VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Display custom fields in the frontend – Post and User Profile Fields plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.2.1
Description The issue arises from insufficient input validation and restriction on access to the vg display data shortcode, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to execute code by calling arbitrary functions.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.2.1, update to a version that includes the necessary input validation and access restrictions for the vg display data shortcode to prevent code injection. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vg display data shortcode to minimize the risk of exploitation.
