Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Essential Addons for Elementor – Best Elementor Templates, Widgets, Kits & WooCommerce Builders plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 5.9.2
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via custom ID due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor access and higher to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 5.9.2, update to a version higher than 5.9.2 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting contributor access and higher to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, restrict the use of custom IDs in pages until a patch is available.
Fix
