CVE-2023-7065

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Stop Spammers Security | Block Spam Users, Comments, Forms plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2024.4
Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the sfs process AJAX action, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to add arbitrary IPs to the plugin's allowlist and blocklist via a forged request. This can be achieved if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2024.4, consider disabling the sfs process AJAX action until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the plugin's allowlist and blocklist management features to minimize the risk of arbitrary IP additions. Avoid using the plugin until a fixed version is released. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
