Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's
eeb mailto shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.1.9, update to a version higher than 2.1.9 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
eeb mailto shortcode for users with contributor-level and above permissions until a patch is available.Fix
