CVE-2024-0428

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Index Now plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.6.3
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the reset form function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary site options via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing a specific action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.6.3, consider disabling the reset form function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the Index Now plugin to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the Index Now plugin until the issue is resolved.
