Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Paid Memberships Pro – Content Restriction, User Registration, & Paid Subscriptions plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.12.10
Description
The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing nonce validation on the
pmpro lifter save streamline option() function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to enable the streamline setting with Lifter LMS via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.12.10, consider disabling the
pmpro lifter save streamline option() function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the streamline setting with Lifter LMS to minimize the risk of unauthorized changes. Avoid using the affected function in administrative tasks until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.CSRF
