Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the RSS feed source due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with administrator-level access to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The issue only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered html has been disabled.

Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 4.23.4, update to a version later than 4.23.4 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the RSS feed source to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, ensure that unfiltered html is enabled for all users who need to access the RSS feed source, or restrict administrator-level access to trusted users only.
