Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Masteriyo LMS – eLearning and Online Course Builder for WordPress versions prior to 1.13.3
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the question's content parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with student-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.13.3, update to the latest version to mitigate risks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the question's content parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, ensure proper input sanitization and output escaping to prevent arbitrary web script injections.
Fix
