CVE-2024-10111

CVSS v3.1

8.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions OAuth Single Sign On – SSO (OAuth Client) plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 6.26.3
Description The issue is due to insufficient verification on the user being returned by the social login token, allowing unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing user on the site, such as an administrator, if they have access to the username and the user does not have an already-existing account for the service returning the token.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 6.26.3, update to a version later than 6.26.3 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the social login feature until a patch is available. Restrict access to the username variable in the social login token to minimize the risk of exploitation.
