Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cognito Forms plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.0.6
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the
id parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.0.6, consider disabling the
id parameter in the affected API endpoint until a patch is available. Restrict access to the Cognito Forms plugin to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the id parameter in the affected pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.XSS
