Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Tripetto plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 8.0.3
Description
The Tripetto plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via File uploads due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses the file.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 8.0.3, update to a version later than 8.0.3 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting file uploads to trusted users only until a patch is available. Additionally, restrict access to uploaded files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
