CVE-2024-10261

CVSS v3.1

7.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Paid Membership Subscriptions – Effortless Memberships, Recurring Payments & Content Restriction plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.13.0
Description The issue is related to arbitrary shortcode execution due to the software allowing users to execute an action that does not properly validate a value before running do shortcode. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary shortcodes. The vulnerability poses a high risk and has been exploited in multiple versions.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.13.0, update the plugin to the latest version to mitigate potential threats. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to shortcodes until a patch is available. Avoid using shortcodes that may be vulnerable to execution by unauthenticated attackers until the issue is resolved.
