Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Form Maker by 10Web – Mobile-Friendly Drag & Drop Contact Form Builder plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.15.30
Description
The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to the use of
add query arg without appropriate escaping on the URL. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.15.30, update to the latest version to mitigate risks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin until a patch is available. Avoid using the
add query arg function without proper escaping to prevent exploitation.Fix
