Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
adBuddy+ (AdBlocker Detection) by NetfunkDesign WordPress plugin versions 1.1.3 and earlier
Description
The issue concerns a Stored Cross-Site Scripting attack that can be performed by high-privilege users, such as admins, due to the plugin's failure to sanitize and escape some of its settings. This can occur even when the
unfiltered html capability is disallowed, for example, in a multisite setup.Recommendations
For versions 1.1.3 and earlier, update to a version that addresses this issue, as the current version does not properly sanitize settings, allowing for potential Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
