Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
WordPress Contact Forms by Cimatti plugin for WordPress version 1.9.2 and earlier
Description
The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
process bulk action function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete forms via a forged request. This can happen if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For WordPress Contact Forms by Cimatti plugin for WordPress version 1.9.2 and earlier, consider disabling the
process bulk action function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the plugin's functionality to minimize the risk of unauthorized form deletion. Update to a version that includes the fix for the nonce validation issue as soon as it becomes available.Fix
