CVE-2024-1058

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.58.3
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the onclick parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.58.3, consider updating to a version that offers a complete fix, as 1.58.3 only provides a partial fix. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the onclick parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
