Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
WS Form LITE – Drag & Drop Contact Form Builder for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.9.244
Description
The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to the use of
remove query arg without appropriate escaping on the URL. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.9.244, update to a version that fixes the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using links that could potentially be used to inject arbitrary web scripts until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
