Description The Kognetiks Chatbot for WordPress plugin is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the dir parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.1.7, update the plugin to the latest version to mitigate risks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the dir parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
