CVE-2024-10856

CVSS v3.1

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Booking Calendar WpDevArt plugin versions up to, and including, 3.2.19
Description The issue is a time-based, blind SQL injection vulnerability via the id parameter in the "wpdevart booking calendar" shortcode. This vulnerability is due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. It requires the "delete prev date" theme option to be enabled, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or above to append additional SQL queries to extract sensitive information, such as passwords, from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.2.19, update to a version that fixes this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the "delete prev date" theme option until a patch is available. Restrict access to the "wpdevart booking calendar" shortcode to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the id parameter in the affected shortcode until the issue is resolved.
