CVE-2024-10876

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Charitable – Donation Plugin for WordPress – Fundraising with Recurring Donations & More plugin for WordPress versions prior to 1.8.2 The Charitable – Donation Plugin for WordPress – Fundraising with Recurring Donations & More plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.8.3
Description The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to the use of add query arg and remove query arg without appropriate escaping on the URL. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. The vulnerability can be exploited through the donation list table and affects donation management, potentially leading to unauthorized access and serious security risks.
Recommendations Update to the latest version to secure your site. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the donation management and donation list table features until a patch is available. Avoid using the add query arg and remove query arg functions without proper escaping until the issue is resolved.
