CVE-2024-10939

CVSS v3.1

4.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Image Widget WordPress plugin versions prior to 4.4.11
Description The issue concerns the Image Widget WordPress plugin, where certain settings of its Image Widget are not properly sanitized and escaped. This could allow high-privilege users, such as administrators, to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. This is possible even when the unfiltered html capability is disallowed, for example, in a multisite setup.
Recommendations For versions prior to 4.4.11, update to version 4.4.11 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the Image Widget settings to minimize the risk of exploitation.
