Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
craigk5n/webcalendar version 1.3.0
Description
A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists in the 'Report Name' input field while creating a new report. An attacker can inject malicious scripts, which are then executed in the context of other users who view the report, potentially leading to the theft of user accounts and cookies.
Recommendations
For version 1.3.0, consider disabling the 'Report Name' input field until a patch is available to prevent the injection of malicious scripts. Restrict access to report creation to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the
Report Name field in the affected version until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
