CVE-2024-11201

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions myCred – Loyalty Points and Rewards plugin versions up to, and including, 2.7.5.2
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the mycred send shortcode. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.7.5.2, consider disabling the mycred send shortcode until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to pages that utilize this shortcode to minimize the risk of arbitrary web script execution.
