CVE-2024-1134

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions SEOPress – On-site SEO plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 7.5.2.1
Description The issue arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks via parameters such as the SEO title and description. Attackers with contributor access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which will execute when a user accesses the injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 7.5.2.1, update to a version higher than 7.5.2.1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the SEO title and description parameters to minimize the risk of exploitation.
