VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Simple Redirection plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.5
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the settings page() function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to update the plugin's settings and redirect all site visitors via a forged request, provided they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.5, consider disabling the settings page() function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the plugin's settings to minimize the risk of unauthorized changes. Avoid using the plugin until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
