CVE-2024-11379

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Broadcast plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 51.01
Description The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the do check parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. The issue only affects multi-site installations.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 51.01, consider disabling the do check parameter until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the Broadcast plugin to minimize the risk of Reflected Cross-Site Scripting attacks. Avoid using the do check parameter in multi-site installations until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
