CVE-2024-11417

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Vernetzungsfunktion plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.97.5
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery. It is caused by missing or incorrect nonce validation on the djo einstellungen menue() function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to update settings and inject malicious web scripts via a forged request, provided they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.97.5, consider disabling the djo einstellungen menue() function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to settings updates to minimize the risk of malicious script injection. Avoid performing actions that could be triggered by forged requests, such as clicking on links from untrusted sources, until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
