CVE-2024-11420

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Blocksy theme for WordPress versions up to and including 2.0.77
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the link parameter of the Contact Info Block. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to and including 2.0.77, update to a version higher than 2.0.77 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Contact Info Block or disabling the link parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
