Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read vulnerability that could lead to disclosure of sensitive memory. This vulnerability can be leveraged by an attacker to bypass mitigations such as ASLR. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. The vulnerability is associated with the processing of the SegmentMaps table in OpenType font format, which can allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected information.

For Acrobat Reader versions 20.005.30539, 23.008.20470 and earlier, consider avoiding the use of the affected software until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, refrain from opening files from untrusted sources to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
