CVE-2024-11460

CVSS v3.1

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Verowa Connect plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.0.1
Description The issue allows unauthenticated attackers to perform SQL Injection via the search string parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.0.1, consider disabling the search string parameter until a patch is available to prevent SQL Injection attacks. Restrict access to sensitive database information to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, ensure proper escaping and validation of user-supplied parameters in SQL queries. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
