CVE-2024-11463

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions DeBounce Email Validator plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 5.6.5
Description The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. The from, to, and key parameters are vulnerable to this issue.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 5.6.5, consider disabling the parameters from, to, and key to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. Restrict access to the plugin's functionality to prevent unauthenticated attackers from injecting arbitrary web scripts. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
