Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
G Web Pro Store Locator plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.1
Description
The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the
q parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.1, consider disabling the
q parameter in the affected API endpoint until a patch is available. Restrict access to the Store Locator plugin to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the q parameter in the affected pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.XSS
