Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the displaySettingsPage() function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to update arbitrary options. This can be leveraged for privilege escalation via a forged request if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.5.29, update to a version that includes the fix for the missing or incorrect nonce validation in the displaySettingsPage() function. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the displaySettingsPage() function until a patch is available.
