Description
The issue is related to a missing capability check on the
buddyforms upload handle dropped media function, which allows unauthenticated attackers to upload media files. This makes it possible for attackers to exploit the vulnerability without proper authentication.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.8.7, update to a version that includes a fix for the missing capability check on the
buddyforms upload handle dropped media function. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the buddyforms upload handle dropped media function until a patch is available.Fix
