CVE-2024-11732

CVSS v3.1

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions BP Profile Shortcodes Extra plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.6.0
Description The issue is related to time-based SQL Injection via the tab parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This allows authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.6.0, consider disabling the tab parameter until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the SQL query functionality to minimize the risk of sensitive information extraction. Update to a version that includes a fix for this issue when available.
