VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions LegalWeb Cloud plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1.2
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's legalweb-popup shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.1.2, update to a version higher than 1.1.2 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the legalweb-popup shortcode until a patch is available. Restrict access to the LegalWeb Cloud plugin to minimize the risk of exploitation.
