Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
NPS computy plugin for WordPress versions prior to 2.8.0
Description
The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting, which occurs due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action, such as clicking on a link. The
data1 and data2 parameters are specifically vulnerable to this type of attack.Recommendations
For versions prior to 2.8.0, update to a version that includes the necessary security patches to address the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
data1 and data2 parameters to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using these parameters in sensitive operations until the issue is resolved.Fix
