CVE-2024-11902

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Slope Widgets plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.2.11
Description The Slope Widgets plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'slope-reservations' shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes, such as slope-reservations. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For Slope Widgets plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.2.11, update to a version higher than 4.2.11 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the 'slope-reservations' shortcode until a patch is available. Restrict contributor-level access and above to minimize the risk of exploitation.
