CVE-2024-12003

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WP System plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1.1
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the generate wp system page content() function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious web scripts via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing a specific action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.1.1, consider disabling the generate wp system page content() function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to areas of the plugin that utilize this function to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the plugin until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
